Cause and Symptoms of - "Conjunctivitis"

👉What is Conjunctivitis ?


Conjunctivitis is irritation or inflammation of conjunctiva. The thin transperent or loose connective tissue cover sclera (the white layer ) or  behind eyelid. Conjunctivitis inflammation or infection of eye. It can couses allergies and  also viruses or  bacteria. Like adenoviruses( common virus, can get anyone, child's affected more than adults) or rubella virus. Conjunctivitis also called pink eye Adenovirus couses redness of the eye .


👉Types of Conjunctivitis :

1 it can causes virus or bacteria . like adenovirus, rubella.

2. It can be causes allergies.



👉Causes of Conjunctivitis :


1. It may be Bacterial or viral infection.
2. Allergies
3. Cause irritation.
4. Use of Contact lens or related products, eye drops, or Use of Ointment.

👉Symptoms of Conjunctivitis :


1. In the white of the eye changes into pink or red color.
2. Swelling of the conjunctiva
3. Increased tear production
4. Feeling like a foreign body eyes.
(Itching, irritation, burning
Discharge pus)
5. Crusting of eyelids or lashes especially in the morning
6. Contact lenses that can feel uncomfortable.


👉How to Prevent against it?


1. Frequently wash your hands with antiseptic soap or Hand Wash.
2. Must use single towels while the disease continues.
3. Using the proper protective eye wear
4. Using clean tissue to remove discharge from eye and washing.
5. If medicine is prescribed finishing the course of antibiotics.
6. Avoiding close contact
