Who is Responsible for Thyroid | Symptoms | Types of Thyroid.

 

Thyroid is a gland located in front of the neck. Thyroid gland produces a hormone called thyroid hormone that controls your body's metabolism, the process in which your body transforms the food you eat into energy. When the hormone level is disbalanced. We have the disease thyroid.


Thyroid are two types - 


1. Hyperthyroidism

2. Hypothyroidism


  1. Hyperthyroidism - when our thyroid gland releases excess hormones. That we no longer needed then we have that disease. 

  2. Hypothyroidism - when the gland releases less hormone, or does not secrete enough hormone. what we need. Then we have this disease.


Sign & symptom of Thyroid - 


  1. more sweating

  2. Over Hunger

  3. Hair loss

  4. Slow heart rate or fast heart rate

  5. Weight loss or weight gain

  6. Irregular menstruation

  7. Muscles weakness



 Extra information about Thyroid Gland -


It is  butterfly shaped. Which produces hormones. The main two hormone -

  1. Thyroxine(T4)

  2. Triiodothyronine( T3)

Which is responsible for metabolism. Metabolism is a process where foods into energy. This hormone helps us for muscle function , bone health and brain health. And also absorb iodine.


. Our body needs thyroid hormone sometimes less or sometimes more . The pituitary gland is also called the master gland which sends the signal ( through TSH ) how much  thyroid hormone is needed in our body.
